The Senior Manager, People Analytics is a high-level individual contributor and technical architect responsible for transforming workforce data into a strategic engine - standardizing metrics, enabling predictive insights, and equipping leaders with data to make faster, smarter decisions that drive business results. Serving as a lead practitioner, this role requires strong project management expertise to architect and execute complex initiatives that span multiple functional areas.
With a strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to senior executives, this role will shape the employee experience by fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and operational excellence. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and IT partners to design easy to consume reporting solutions, dashboards, and predictive models that power business strategies and decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Reporting and Delivery
Translate People Analytics strategy into actionable, high-impact projects, aligning data initiatives with broader HR and business objectives.
Translate high-level business questions into sophisticated frameworks; present complex insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to influence business outcomes.
Drive the full analytics lifecycle, including cleansing and transforming structured and unstructured data, building complex models, and creating visualizations that highlight key workforce insights.
Define top business challenges by conducting stakeholder interviews and maturity assessments, synthesizing findings into discovery themes that shape the analytics roadmap.
Translate complex data into intuitive, dynamic analytics tools that support strategic workforce planning, talent management, and organizational health metrics.
Deliver analytics and insights on headcount trends, internal mobility, turnover, and workforce composition.
Lead the design, development and implementation of scalable HR dashboards, reports, and data visualizations in Workday and PowerBI.
Responsible for Workday analytics design and delivery - report, dashboard, and discovery board design, development and maintenance.
Collaborate with Power BI developers to design advanced visualization frameworks, while serving as a backup Power BI data engineer when required.
Partner with HR and cross-functional teams across the organization to define data requests, approvals, and delivery ensuring data privacy, security, and governance standards are met.
Directly manage project scopes, deliverables, and timelines for complex analytics initiatives, fostering collaboration and accountability across multiple teams.
Present actionable insights to varied audiences, including senior leadership and executives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
Data Governance, Analytics and Insights
Utilize People Analytics or enterprise BI platforms to design, build, test and deploy people analytics dashboards, data visualizations and predictive models.
Develop data visualizations that highlight key insights to help the organization make informed business decisions related to workforce issues.
Analyze large, complex HR datasets to identify trends, insights, and opportunities.
Continuously advance the organization’s analytical maturity by staying at the forefront of HR tech trends to enhance analytics tools, models, and reporting methodologies to meet evolving business needs.
Drive automation efforts and streamline processes for improved reporting and analytics efficiency.
Oversee and contribute to broader data science and business intelligence projects that span multiple areas of the organization.
Drive improvements to the People Analytics Roadmap, identifying innovative analytics approaches to evolve current reporting frameworks.
Lead collaboration with IT to maintain and enhance data models, forecasting tools, and predictive analytics frameworks tied to workforce needs.
Proactively identify risks and challenges in delivering results, managing dependencies and constraints while ensuring successful project outcomes.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and SQL for reporting and analysis.
Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage trade-offs and make critical decisions for driving business outcomes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and present to stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects while balancing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Deep understanding of data governance principles, HR data compliance, and data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Statistics, Organizational Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Typically 12+ years of experience in workforce analytics, including data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
Strong experience in Power BI, Excel, and SQL for reporting and analysis.
Proven experience managing and delivering complex projects across multiple functional areas, with expertise in scoping, planning, and delivering on timelines and objectives.
Demonstrated experience in Workday reporting (reports, dashboards, and discovery boards).
Expertise in data visualization, creation of creative presentations and reporting tools.
US Citizenship is required.
Compensation Details:
150-170K
