A dynamic leader whose role is to ensure Information Systems technology meets the current and future needs of the Global Supply Chain, Contracts, Legal, Security, MarComm and other functions of Amentum. The leader achieves this through collaboration with the respective functions, deep understanding of the business needs and priorities, portfolio management and demand prioritization, partnership with internal and external delivery partners for successful and consistent delivery strategy across stakeholder areas.

Process centric and Functional centric skills are critical to this role, for its success. Expertise in both operations and technology fields is needed to bridge the gap between Information and Technology systems and business processes to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment.

Ability to use influence as a key driver to execute on initiatives, without having direct control over the resources required for the execution. This position is US remote telework and US Citizenship is required.

Key accountabilities

  • Strategic Execution and Stakeholder Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the business and IT, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Act as the key liaison and esteemed business partner for functional stakeholders to define functional system, tool requirements and solutions while working closely with delivery leaders in IT to develop technology roadmaps.
    • Provide insights for development of IT strategies, policies, and governance frameworks as they relate to the associated business/functional objectives.
    • Support the development and alignment of IT Strategy with business and functional needs. In collaboration with stakeholders, create a multiyear capability roadmap and enterprise architecture.
    • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to enable competitive advantage through successful design & implementation of the technology roadmap.
    • Support defining vendor requirements and performance, and support subcontracts negotiations and vendor agreements, ensuring cost efficiency and SLA adherence.
  • Effective Application Landscape:
    • Lead the function/project specific IT budgeting & resource planning.
    • Proactively engage with business leaders to identify opportunities and offer technology-driven solutions, enhancing business value and operation efficiency.
    • Own the IT Applications map for the function(s) assigned; evaluate tools coverage and deployment needs; assess existing solutions retrofit or tools decommissioning as necessary; understand market trends and suppliers' offerings.
    • Provide expert guidance to Supply Chain team and other functions through market benchmarking data, empowering them to secure enhanced agreements during license renewals or when evaluating alternative applications.
    • Collaborate closely with internal IT departments, including Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Applications, Service Delivery and PMO, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of activities.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations, industry standards, and security policies.
    • Partner with the enterprise architecture and operations teams to ensure that current and proposed solutions are compatible with company standards.
  • IT Knowledge Management:
    • Facilitate the adoption of tools and processes across the organization.
    • Partner with Business to identify and execute on training needs specific to the functions supported.
    • Establish knowledge communities with role-specific training resources and fostering shared learning among teams utilizing tools and collaborating with Human Resources as needed.
  • Advanced Solutions Delivery:
    • Facilitate comprehensive documentation of business requirements and need for expanding current tools or introducing new ones.
    • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Partner with Functionals, IT teams and external vendors to design, develop, and deploy technology solutions.
    • Be a key enabler for the successful execution and delivery of strategic IT initiatives to Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM), Contracts, Legal, Security, MarComm during various phases of execution by managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
    • Prioritize systems needs/requests including cost benefit analysis.
    • Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
    • Drive and sustain quality and act as a central point of contact for escalated issues.
  • Technology Adoption and Innovation:
    • Stay abreast of latest trends and advancements and promote adoption of emerging technologies and innovation solution to improve efficiency and drive business value.
    • Continuously assess and identify opportunities to streamline processes, optimize tools, improve user experience within and across the function/business to boost productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Transformation Management - Define an approach for managing change across the business in coordination with the delivery of technology projects. Work with key stakeholders to develop a communication strategy, approach, and plan.
  • Periodic Reviews and Metrics Reporting:
    • Develops compelling presentations and reports to effectively communicate technology roadmaps, and progress to executive stakeholders.
    • Ensure adherence to the budget and report on budget compliance. Conduct periodic reviews for the current solutions to align with corporate standards.

  • Professional experience as project/program manager.
  • Process Management and Change Management proven experience is a plus.
  • Proven experience helping businesses to scale their digital transformation efforts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proven understanding of IT processes and best practices (ITIL) is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master’s degree in a related discipline or MBA (preferred).
  • Typically 12+ years of experience in business application management with at least 5+ years of experience supporting or operating Supply Chain processes.
  • Knowledge or experience with Procure to Pay (P2P) process and systems.
  • Understanding of supply chain operations and best business practices.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and third-party service providers.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT services supporting Supply Chain operations.
  • US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain compliance requirements in a government setting
  • Experience in Costpoint/Maximo/SAP
  • Experience in Cognos, PowerBI
  • Strong stakeholder management at the Director, Sr. Director, Divisional VP levels to influence without direct authority; preferred.

Compensation Details:

$145k-$168k
