Summary of Position

Banner Quality Management Inc. (BQMI) is searching for a QFP to support the Corporate Communications Office, Naval Weapons Station Crane, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) located in Crane, Indiana.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

ISO 9001 Quality System & Documentation Support

  • Support compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and related program requirements.
  • Develop, manage, review, revise, andmaintainquality program documentation including controlled documents, technical documents, process documents, formal ISO documentation, forms, templates, and tools.
  • Support the preparation of documentation for a variety of audiences, ensuring clarity for both technical and nontechnical personnel.
  • Gather customer feedback and incorporate improvements to enhance clarity, usability, and comprehension.
  • Collect and analyze technical, service, and product information to document new or changing elements.
  • Use modern communication methods (videos, demos, digital tours, training materials, and other educational tools) to supplement traditional documentation.

Quality Metrics, Analysis & Reporting

  • Develop and document quality metrics, includingidentifyingand assessing metric needs,establishingmeasurement processes, capturing data, conducting analysis, and reporting results.
  • Supportcreationof management tools and systems to measure organizational effectiveness, efficiency, workload performance, and other operational functions.
  • Perform data collection, coordination, meeting minutes, action-item tracking, and presentation preparation to support quality and process improvement activities.
  • Enter, track, and update quality actions in the Crane Action Management System
  • Assistwith audit findings, assessment results, management review outputs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization

  • Assistinidentifyingimprovement candidates, developing root-cause analysis, anddeterminingstrategies and approaches for improvement.
  • Support the creation of improvement plans, Support the creation of improvement plans, documentation, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Facilitate orparticipatein meetings, workshops, and initiatives focused on improving processes, procedures, and organizational performance.
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies, including thePlanDoCheckAct(PDCA) cycle and other structured tools.
  • Create, revise, and clarify procedures toeliminateconflict, redundancy, and inefficiencies.
  • Recommend procedure updates to align with changing operational needs and support implementation of new or alternative procedures.
  • Identifyand resolve complex issuesimpactingworkflow and work transactions.

Data Analysis & Performance Reporting

  • Collect, compile, and enter performance-related data into reports and management systems.
  • Use statistical analysis techniques to evaluate processes,identifyareas of improvement, and support cost reduction and efficiency initiatives.
  • Analyze data and make recommendations for process and performance improvements.
  • Utilize a variety of systems, tools, and information sources to conduct analysis and support ongoing management efforts.

Documentation Development & Communication

  • Prepare, edit, andmaintaindocumentation across multiple categories, including:
  • Process and procedural documentation
  • Technical documentation
  • Quality documentation
  • Software and systems documentation
  • Operational and testing documentation
  • User guides and training materials
  • Collaborate with teams to plan, research, write, and revise printed and online documentation such as tutorials, instructions, overviews, and training modules.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills across technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate requirements, and work collaboratively across teams.

Experience/Education:

  • QFP certification preferred. Candidates who are not currentlyQFPcertifiedmust be willing to obtain certification within18 monthsof hire
