Banner Quality Management Inc. (BQMI) is seeking a highly motivated Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support the Property Management Division at NSWC Crane. This position will focus on receiving, validating, documenting, storing, and delivering all inbound and outbound materials in accordance with Navy ERP, Navy supply regulations, and local SOPs. This role ensures accurate material accountability, proper documentation, and timely movement of supplies to support mission readiness.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills along with the ability to communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Secret level Clearance required
- Ability to read and interpret packing slips, delivery tickets, and government forms.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to operate MHE (forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain).
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in a warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Material Receipt & Induction Documentation & Key Supporting Documents (KSD)
- Obtain and retain all required KSDs for material receipt, including packing slips and delivery tickets, following Navy standards.
- Maintain compliance with Navy documentation practices for all inbound and outbound transactions
Delivery of Inbound Material
- Receive incoming materials, validate quantities, inspect packaging condition, and identify/segregate multi‑packs.
- Label materials for warehouse storage and delivery.
- Provide all receipt documentation to the Government requester.
- Induct materials into Navy ERP in real time, ensuring accurate tracking of receipt, validation, and delivery.
- Process 103/105 transactions for Purchase Card (P‑Card) and Standard Procurement System (SPS) purchases in accordance with Navy policy.
Shipment & Delivery Logs
- Maintain a monthly log of all incoming shipment documents prepared and received.
- Maintain a monthly log of all outgoing shipment documents.
Receipt Records & Frustrated Material
- Record custody of unordered or frustrated materials (items without matching purchase orders or with incorrect/unknown identifiers).
- Handle all frustrated material in accordance with Navy policy.
Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Operate Government‑provided MHE (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) safely and efficiently to support all warehouse operations.
Locations & Storage Process
- Maintain an orderly, systematic locations process to support inventory accuracy, efficient receipt processing, and timely issue.
- Maximize space utilization while ensuring proper protection of stored materials.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with all storage, packing, and shipping regulations, including P700.
- Conduct weekly quality assurance checks to verify packing and storage standards.
- Report weekly and monthly performance metrics.
Shipping, Packing & Crating
- Coordinate outbound shipments, prepare DD Form 1149, and stage materials for scheduled pickup.
- Ensure all outbound processing complies with Navy and local regulations.
Screening, Inspection & Estimating
- Screen and inspect suspect items.
- Estimate processing schedules, hazardous waste requirements, and necessary materials/equipment in accordance with Navy policy.
