Project Control Specialist

Key Role:
Perform a wide variety of detailed financial and administrative activities for relatively large and complex programs, organizations, or proposals. Anticipate and respond to customer needs and serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external customers to support daily business operations. Analyze the preparation of project and program budgets, forecast revenue and estimates at completion (EAC), perform project level financial management reporting and analysis, accomplish forecast variance analysis, and recommend appropriate actions based on analysis results. Initiate subcontract and material purchase requests, monitor vendor expenses, and review and approve subcontract invoices. Prepare detailed financial program management reviews, including trend analysis and status of key performance metrics, and complete estimates at completion, including estimated business performance metrics throughout contract execution and at the end of the period of performance such as profit, cash flow, and risk. Prepare and manage contract deliverables and respond to contract and program data calls. Evaluate existing business processes and deliverables and analyze the construction of new processes and deliverables to support developing and revising SOPs relative to contract requirements and internal reporting requirements. Analyze programs to determine requirements, track program process and control, and analyze the impact or potential impact of missed or inadequate deliverables on program accomplishments. Develop and present reports on analysis findings, draft program documentation to support activities to higher-level management, and review and track performance metrics. Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, lead and direct the work of others, and report to a supervisor or manager.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with program cost control, contract interpretation, assisting with budget development, and administration of government projects
- Ability to remain adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Master's degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, including using formulas and functions in calculations and analysis
- Experience working with federal government contracts
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and Department of State Standard Regulations, the federal budget process, and funds management
- Ability to accomplish financial forecasts based on bottom-up analysis and historical trends

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
