Overview
PROJECT SCHEDULER (F3500 2024-):
Bowhead seeks a Project Scheduler to join our team in supporting the Radar Technologies Division Advanced Radar (WXP) at NSWC Crane. The duties of the Project Scheduler include developing and maintaining Cost and Project Schedules using Microsoft Project; including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) at all stages of the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate should have a least seven years of scheduling experience and a knowledge of DOD projects. Ultimately, a successful Project Scheduler will maintain overall project data and develop metrics and reports so that accurate and timely information can be provided to management. The Project Scheduler should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and have experience in MS Project and a comprehensive understanding of Federal Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
Responsibilities
Essential functions will include:
- The Project Scheduler must be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and is able to stay organized and multitask while meeting deadlines and assisting the project team as a whole.
- Develop and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) utilizing Microsoft Project.
- Participate in project IPT meetings to assist in schedule tracking/management.
- Communicate with project stakeholders to understand and validate schedule.
- Tasking would be in support of APY-9, SPY-6, DBR, SEWIP BLK 3, PAAA, and FXR. Upon completion of depot stand ups, transition to Depot Repair schedule.
- Track current tasking status, completed tasks, and upcoming tasks
- Identify the critical path based on resource constraints
- Maintain the MS Project schedule in Ops Center and monitor metrics
- Collaborate with financial POCs to identify funding needs and input financial requirements into schedule
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Solid working knowledge and experience in MS Project Professional and Office applications
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or five (5) to eight (8) years of experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Ability to learn the System Engineering Technical Review (SETR). Expert in Microsoft Project
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearnace at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
