Overview

LOGISTICIAN (EO/IR 2025-23978):

Bowhead seeks a part-time Logistician to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Crane Division (NSWC-Crane). The Logistician must be experienced in DOD Logistics, Acquisition, Quality, Records Management and Program Support in the Electro-Optic Technology Division, Expeditionary Electro-Optic Branch (JXQR) of the Special Warfare and Expeditionary Systems Department. The individual must be a motivated self-starter subject matter expert (SME) in the Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS). The candidate must work well both independently and in a Team environment.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

  • Provide the ability to create, update, review and provide comment on logistics documentation.
  • Provide in-depth knowledge to aid in the development and delivery of acquisition documentation.
  • Material management and tracking., including managing documentation for ordering and incoming material, and general organization.
  • Responsible for transactions required through the Navy Enterprise Resource program (Navy ERP), Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS)and Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S).
  • As the ELMS Subject Matter Expert, the individual must be able to train and assist personnel in ELMS.
  • Perform other Logistics duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' Degree with eight years (8) of experience in government document control, knowledge of government operating procedures and requirements.
  • Intermediate to advaced skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Good interpersonal skills and judgment with the ability to work well alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

Travel: Expected travel is two (2) times annually for periods of one week each event

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must curently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
