Senior Engineering Technology Advisor

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Technology Advisor to support NavalX’s East Coast Tech Bridge and connect naval needs and challenges with expert solution providers across industry, academia, and DoD; and foster change involving industry and DoD to make processes and practices more agile, informative, and adaptable. In this role, you will be responsible for outreach, coordination of collaborative efforts, and support for technology transfer to bring cutting-edge capabilities from the commercial and academic sectors into Naval applications. You will play a key role in developing regional hubs and nodes that can serve as pipelines of talent and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct outreach and coordinate collaboration with East Coast industry players, including businesses, academia, investment communities, and research institutions, to identify cutting-edge solutions capable of addressing Naval mission needs.
- Facilitate technology transfer from industry and academia to Navy entities through various mechanisms, including licensing agreements, Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR)
- Support experimentation, exercises, challenges, and testing to progress Naval capabilities, helping industry members demonstrate their technologies' effectiveness.
- Document and catalog interactions with industry sources, technologies, and partnerships in the customer’s tools for efficient access by the Naval network.
- Collaborate with Naval organizations to generate awareness and engagement with industry players across various technical domains supporting Naval mission needs.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be a U.S Citizen
- 15+ yrs of experience advising top-level project managers
- Proven experience in innovation ecosystems
- Familiarity with Tech Bridges, regional innovation ecosystems, or technology transfer programs
- Bachelor’s degree in technology/engineering, or a related field
Desired:
- Familiarity with NavalX
- Familiarity with regional military innovation networks

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
