The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Naval Architecture and Marine Engineer to research and respond to maintenance related technical feedback report submissions and other special projects from Military Sealift Command (MSC).
Responsibilities:
- Research and respond to maintenance related technical feedback report submissions with MSCs Shipboard Automated Maintenance Management System (SAMM) contents and Vessel Configuration
- Identify mission critical equipment and conduct fleetwide Class Specific Items/Cross Class Specific Items (CSI/CCSI) review to ensure proper maintenance alignment between Work Items and SAMM Database.
- Receive feedback reports from ships or direct tasking for maintenance related special projects.
- Using experience and supplied technical documentation, you will perform analysis and/or recommend various solution sets to MSC personnel for review and approval.
- With meticulous attention to detail, you will also execute various modifications to maintenance plans and procedures following MSC approval.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- BS Degree in engineering or naval architecture program.
- 4 years of post-graduate marine, power, or manufacturing plant technical experience.
- - If no degree, the person must demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and ability (years of experience can be concurrent): 8 years or equivalent technical experience in Naval Architecture, Marine or other Naval Engineering work. 4 years of commercial or Navy experience with an emphasis on maintenance concepts, programs and procedures. - Familiarity with commercial ship operations, maintenance concepts, programs and procedures.
- NAVSEA Level I Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Training or equivalent covering requirements of MIL-P-24534A. (The opportunity to obtain will be provided immediately upon hire).
- Familiarity with shipboard systems and their maintenance.
- Ability to research and communicate effectively with coworkers, MSC personnel, and other entities to gather data and resolve feedbacks / special projects in a timely fashion.
- Occasional technical ship visits may be required.
Desired:
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Familiarization with Navy and MSC maintenance and logistics programs

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$63,300-$129,700
