Job Description:


The Opportunity:
The Project Scheduler will play a pivotal role in a small team of Project Schedulers dedicated to supporting the rollout of new Enterprise IT systems and continuous improvement implementations of Enterprise IT Systems and Services across the US Air Force. In this mission-critical effort, the Project Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the overarching Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in Microsoft Project Online. The Project Scheduler will leverage their expertise in Project Online and Power BI to ensure that the IMS remains accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with the program's goals. This role requires a strong background in schedule analysis, a proven ability to work both independently and within a team, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain the IMS in Project Online by working with technical team leads to determine their critical tasks, identify contractual milestones, associate interdependencies across the program, and integrate large subcontractor partners.
  • Develop an achievable IMS critical path for project, program, and contractual milestones.
  • Conduct and facilitate weekly IMS reviews with the Government program team.
  • Perform project management functions including analyzing requirements, performing Schedule Risk Analyses (SRA), establishing and maintaining project schedule policies, and projecting out-year requirements.
  • Prepare project and program status reports based on current and forecast schedules; implement and maintain schedule change control.
  • Prepare schedule trend analysis to identify problem areas and submit recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to support rollup reporting viewable by cross-functional project teams.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Currently hold an active Secret Clearance or higher.
  • 10+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience).
  • Strong background and experience with schedule analysis to include defining and analyzing the critical path for IT projects.
  • Experience with detailed analysis of complex schedules using DCMA 14 Point Assessment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and lead other schedulers in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to think-on-your-feet, adapt as situations change, and make the best possible decisions with the information at hand.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with determining the Critical Path and performing schedule status updates, Schedule Risk Assessments.
  • Must be able to build and maintain accurate and up-to-date complex Government Contract schedules.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and pulling together multiple schedules into a master schedule and/or interfacing with other teams managing different schedules.
  • Experience with re-sequencing of the IMS based upon Government Option Periods and changes.
  • Expert knowledge of Project Online.
  • Sound knowledge of schedule systems, principles, and practices required.
  • Ability to handle efficiently and effectively multiple and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated with a keen attention to detail.


Desired:

  • Familiarity with project analysis tools (ex. SSI Tools).
  • Specific Power BI skills including DAX and M Languages, Power BI Workspace, Publishing to Workspaces, and PBI Apps.
  • PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP).
  • Other Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate).
  • ITIL v4 Foundation training and/or certification.
  • Air Force experience.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
