The Opportunity:

CACI has established upcoming positions throughout the European theater supporting multiple customers for the Department of Defense. We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement of USAREUR-AF and their Mission Partners mission objectives.

CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Mission Command/Blue Force Tracker Technician, Journeyman. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, USAREUR-AF and their Mission Partner JRMS located in Hohenfels, Germany. This position is required to travel OCONUS. This position is located OCONUS.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports Blue Force Tracker (BFT) component management for JMRC rotational exercises

  • Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures to maintain, install, configure, relocate, de-install, test, and activate BFT in training vehicles, physical locations, or other identified points

  • Supports management and tracking of BFT assets

  • Supports BFT modernization activities, including documenting design specifications, and maintains a standard set of engineering site-specific as-built drawings of the BFT components and vehicle plans depicting the locations of BFT equipment, interconnect diagrams, and systems diagrams

  • Performs quality control in accordance with the Quality Assurance and Test Plan to ensure full operations capability of the BFT systems

  • Functions as an expert in BFT systems and their installation and operation

  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments

  • Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Experience 4-7 years with a BA/BS in related field preferred or equivalent experience considered.

  • Possess a Secret clearance with the ability to retain.

  • Certification – 8140 – CND or Network+

  • Possesses extensive knowledge of Blue Force Tracker systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting in vehicles and various physical locations.

  • Demonstrates expertise in managing and tracking BFT assets across multiple training exercises.

  • Exhibits proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design specifications and as-built drawings.

  • Applies advanced problem-solving skills to complex BFT-related challenges, including relocation and de-installation tasks, with minimal supervision.

  • Showcases strong attention to detail and quality control practices to ensure optimal BFT system performance in training vehicles and other identified points.

  • Combines technical expertise with effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders in a training environment, preferably with experience supporting JMRC rotational exercises and BFT modernization efforts.

  • Demonstrates practical experience in satellite communications systems, including installation, maintenance, and operations.

  • TESA eligible

Desired:

  • CCNA

  • Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs

  • Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards

  • Experience with DoD IT security requirements

$57,000 - 116,800 USD
