Job Description:

The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an exceptionally motivated individual to fill an Engineering Manager position within our MSC N7management group. This individual will assist the organization’s management team in executing one large DoD contract supplying engineering services and support to Military Sealift Command (MSC). This position will require the individual to learn the intricacies of DoD contracting, customer engagement, and organizational management. The Engineering Manager will work closely with members of the organization’s management team and will focus primarily on project execution and quality assurance. The Engineering Manager will work with members of CACI’s technical team and subcontractors to establish schedules, meet milestones, and ensure deliverable quality and timeliness. He/she will be responsible for technical reviews of all technical reports and other deliverables, especially “Science and Technical Information (STI)” required as a contract deliverable. The engineering manager will have direct management responsibility for all assigned projects, called “Sub-Tasks”, under DTIC MSC N7. The Engineering Manager will work closely with other program management staff on the identification and development of new CACI offerings, leveraging new technologies as appropriate, to meet emerging MSC requirements.

A willingness to dive into and take ownership of tasks that are outside of comfort zones is an imperative. This position demands that the individual be unafraid to ask questions in order to understand roles and responsibilities in an effort to be fully capable of independently executing tasking. An ability to think critically and analytically is important.

Qualifications:

Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering fi eld, preferably within the field of naval engineering or marine operational engineering.
• Proven analytical skills
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables)
• Intermediate skills in MS Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to create effective presentations and to confidently present in front of CACI and customer leadership

Desired:
• USCG Licensed Engineer with sailing experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with the planning and/or conduct of MSC maintenance availabilities.
