CACI is seeking a Production Engineer to support our customer at NSWC Crane.

What You’ll Get to Do:

• Engineering Change Proposals (ECP): Preparation and review of inputs for ECPs, waivers, deviations impacting design, performance, safety, and producibility
• Obsolescence & Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating obsolescence (DMSMS) issues, performing risk assessments to ensure system sustainability and operational availability.
• Reverse Engineering: Aid in efforts to Reverse Engineer electronic assemblies and components, including development of Technical Data Packages (TDPs)
• Test Plan Development: Assisting in the creation, validation, and execution of comprehensive test plans and executable test scenarios to verify system protocols.
• Technical Documentation: Modification, validation and verification (V&V) of existing procedures to reflect system upgrades and process improvements
• Procedure Development and Review: Assist in the development and review of procedures related to the operation, maintenance, and support of EO/IR systems.

• Schedule flexibility allowed within government staffed lab hours
• Laboratory personnel may be required to perform auxiliary duties to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. These duties may include: General Lab Maintenance Regular cleaning of the laboratory workspace and equipment. Proper disposal of laboratory waste, including hazardous materials (HAZMAT), Inventory Management (Monitoring levels of consumables (e.g., reagents, solvents)) and ensuring adequate stock. Tracking and monitoring equipment calibration due dates. and providing lab equipment organizational support, including maintaining laboratory supplies and equipment and assisting with general laboratory organization and upkeep.
• May be required to attend local meetings and trainings in support of this effort. This type of travel is considered ‘local travel’ and per diem and lodging will not be authorized or reimbursed. For the purposes of this effort, local travel is defined as within 50 miles of the NSWCCD. Mileage will be reimbursed as appropriate, as it relates to the distance of the travel site from the normal place of business/support (> 50 miles). Mileage between Contractor and Government facility is not authorized for reimbursement
• Upon employment, will be required to work toward proficiency in Open Air Collimator Benches (OACB) and Boresight Enhncement (BE)
• Will be required to participate in the Government Personnel Qualification System (PQS) Program to document skill levels via Workload Qualification Records (WQR) including, but not limited to: HAZMAT, electrostatic discharge (ESD), Initial Laser Operator, Laser Operator Annual Refresher, Counter-Balance Stacker, Lift Strap Safety, Incoming/Acceptance Testing, Material Movement, ECP Front Cover Fabrication, EOS SRU Remove/Replace, CCDA Testing & Alignment, FLIR Assembly Repair & Testing, EMI Mesh Fabrication, As-Built-As-Maintained, I/D Level Nomenclature, Data Sheet/SWMS, Material Request, Laser Eye Exam


You’ll Bring These Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or other Engineering Discipline
• Experience in production engineering, including the development, validation, and optimization of maintenance and test procedures for Electro-Optic Systems.
• Proficiency in performing technical diagnostics, analyzing repair action reporting, and evaluating system performance data. Expertise in reviewing, updating, and validating complex test plans, Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), and technical forms.
• Knowledge of obsolescence mitigation strategies (DMSMS) and risk management frameworks.
• Familiarity with OSHA, HAZCOM, HAZMAT, and ESD Awareness and Prevention Training.
• Ability to write clear reports and specifications in English
• Ability to interface with team members, technical leads and Project Managers
• Ability to work alone on individual projec

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$57,000 - $116,700
