Overview

The Incoming Quality Control Manager manages day-to-day operations and provides leadership and direction to the functional team.

Responsibilities

- Ensure all Quality Control procedures are understood and followed by staff on daily basis.
- Review, update and approve change requests.
- Follow-up on progress for various projects and tasks to ensure overall objectives and timelines are met.
- Provide daily updates to leadership. Express facts and ideas in a clear, convincing and organized manner.
- Manage and acquire adequate equipment and materials for the running of the department on daily basis.
- Responsible for performance management and reviews of direct reports.
- Participate in hiring, interviewing and onboarding process of new hires.
- Authorization of weekly time sheets.
- Attend, present and provide data for meetings to include project updates and reviews.
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth.
- Adhere to the Quality Management System and its processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background.
- Experience in a regulated industry, preferably in a medical manufacturing environment.
- Management experience preferred.
- Ability to understand the overall and detailed functions of a business software application.

- Occasional travel may be required to other Cook locations, as necessary.
- Frequent lifting with minimal exertion majority of shift.
- Utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers and equipment.
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and communicate.
- Personal protective equipment including safety glasses, lab coat and gloves required in some areas associated with this position.
