Overview

The Employee Experience Specialist is responsible for optimizing and enhancing overall engagement activities for new employees. This involves effectively executing and evolving our corporate level onboarding program and enhancing various employee experience strategies to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience that fosters engagement and retention from day one. This role is a strategic mix of human resources, event coordination, and process optimization, all aimed at building a strong foundation for new hires that aligns with our company values and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a comprehensive and engaging onboarding program that ensures a smooth transition of new employees and aligns with our company’s structure, mission, culture, and values

• Craft engaging content and materials to facilitate a comprehensive onboarding experience, leveraging digital tools and resources effectively

• Manage the scheduling and logistics of in-person cultural orientation sessions across multiple cross-functional teams

• Facilitate employee cultural orientation sessions at our corporate location, ensuring new hires feel valued and supported from the outset

• Develop a deep understanding of the diverse needs, preferences, and expectations of employees through the monitoring of progress, key metrics, and feedback

• Support the continuous improvement, expansion, and implementation of employee experience strategies to reflect evolving organizational needs, industry trends, and best practices

• Work closely with HR team members, hiring managers, and other internal stakeholders to align employee experience strategies to improve various aspects of the employee journey, from onboarding to ongoing development

• Provide routine updates and knowledge sharing to HR leadership and HR business partner teams

• Support the assessment and follow-up activities related to other employee feedback sources (employee surveys, focus groups, exit interviews, etc.)

• Participate in HR department projects and programming as needed and relevant

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in related field or experience of such kind and amount to provide comparable background
• Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience in human resources, employee experience, engagement, and/or learning and development
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of and has proven experience developing and managing corporate-level onboarding programs
• Exceptional communication skills and a passion for creating positive employee experiences in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

• Able to perform work independently and lead with motivation and accountability
• Ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams of all levels, including executive audiences
• Possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify key issues and find, implement, and evaluate solutions
• Strong computer usage skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Physical Requirements:

• Works under general office environmental conditions.
• Ability to conduct and hear video and telephone communication.
• Must be able to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended work hours and/or extra work hours, sometimes on short notice as required.

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
• Ability to work under specific time constraints.
• Must be able to sit at desk, in meetings and/or work on a computer for long or extended periods of time.
• Visual and manual acuity for working with computers and equipment.
• Occasional travel, domestic, may be required.
