Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with experience programming, setting up, and operating HAAS CNC machining centers, including 3-axis and 4-axis machines. The ideal candidate will be capable of preparing stock material, machining weldments through multiple operations, and ensuring high-quality parts through accurate measurement and inspection techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Program, set up, and operate HAAS CNC milling machines (3-axis and 4-axis).
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM-generated toolpaths.
- Cut, prepare, and machine raw stock materials to specification.
- Perform multiple machining operations on complex parts and weldments.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workholding methods for each job.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain tight tolerances and ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, optimize cycle times, and improve processes as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Proven ability to program and set up HAAS CNC machines.
- Experience with 3-axis and 4-axis machining.
- Ability to cut and prepare stock, including machining of weldments requiring multiple operations.
- Strong proficiency with measurement and inspection tools, such as:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Height gauges
- Dial indicators
- Other precision inspection equipment
- Solid understanding of machining practices, feeds/speeds, and tooling.
- Experience operating and programming CNC lathes.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and advanced machining methods.
- Experience with prototype or short-run production environments.
- Shop-based role requiring standing, lifting, and hands-on machine operation.
- Use of cutting tools, heavy materials, and precision equipment daily.
