Responsibilities for this Position

• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Performs various types of massage treatments i.e., Swedish, Trager, Sports, etc.
• Proficiency in all components of massage, body and hydrotherapy, i.e., anatomy and physiology.
• Proficiency in doing a variety of body treatments in addition to being well versed in new developments, i.e., Vichy shower, Swiss shower, exfoliations, masks, hydro tubs, body polish, herbal wraps, etc.
• Prepares and maintains treatment area supplies daily.
• Ensures the privacy of each guest.
• Attends weekly and monthly departmental staff meetings as requested.
• Conducts tours of the facility as needed, to ensure a pleasant visit of each guest.
• Maintains consistent spa inventory and orders supplies as needed.
• Promotes and sells massage and body products.
• Attends product knowledge training as required.
• On-time attendance and ability to work uninterrupted is required.
• Performs other related reasonable duties capable of being performed as requested by Management.

Requirements

• Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current license(s) and certificate(s) for massage therapy as required by the state, county, city/town.
• One-year experience administering massage, body and hydrotherapy treatments, desired.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
• Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Technical Requirements:

• Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to converse in basic English.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
• Excellent people skills.
• Must meet grooming standards.
