The Slot Supervisor is responsible for the efficient operation of the activities of the Slot Department on an assigned shift. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of Casino policies and procedures

BASIC FUNCTION: The Slot Supervisor is responsible for the efficient operation of the activities of the Slot Department on an assigned shift. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of Casino policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives, and in accordance with the company’s Vision, Mission, and Values.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
Must have High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
Must work nights, weekends and holidays as required
Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening
Must have the ability to effectively interact with customers and associates
Ability to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors and co-workers
Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
Must have the ability to organize and prioritize work in a stressful environment.
Must have the ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers
1 year of slot operations experience or equivalent customer service supervisory experience is preferred
Successful candidate must be an experienced, results oriented, hands-on professional
Must demonstrate leadership, fairness, and sensibility to the customers and associates
Must possess an understanding of legal ramifications and implications of various associate and customer actions
Must have a basic knowledge of computers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Maintains a high standard of guest service within the Casino and actively promotes positive customer and associate relations by actively walking the Casino floor and ensuring that excellent customer service is continually provided.
2. Observes activities in the Slot machine department areas watching for irregularities. Ensures Slot Machines are functioning properly and the machines are being played legitimately.
3. Has knowledge of and enforces all policies and procedures regarding the security of monies, parts, equipment and required documentation.
4. Utilizes effective communication tools to ensure that consistent, accurate and timely information is provided through all shifts.
5. Ensures professional behavior and appearance are in compliance with company standards.
6. Must be able to work well with Co-workers/Supervisor/Managers.
7. Provides supervision to all employees of the slot operations department on assigned shift.
8. Assumes responsibility and accountability for the overall function and performance of assigned shift.
9. Trains all new associates to the assigned shift to ensure that these associates receive the proper knowledge to perform their duties at an acceptable level.
10. Delegate’s assignments to ensure that all functions of the shift are carried out in a timely and efficient manner. Tracks assigned tasks to ensure their proper completion.
11. Ensures all slot operations associates are familiar with, and accurately completing all necessary shift paperwork in order to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of all departmental records and reports. Investigates any discrepancies found.
12. Performs payroll duties including submitting timecards/sheets in a timely manner, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date attendance records and personnel files for each of the associates on an assigned shift.
13. Ensures that there is an orderly and positive working environment in the Slot Department.
14. Assists with recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching and discipline, terminations and other personnel related issues.
15. Takes appropriate action based on observations, as directed or established by casino policy, procedures or gaming rules and regulations and informs manager of any concerns.
16. Communicates regularly with associates and keeps them informed of all resort activities and events.
17. Assists with slot tournaments, marketing and player events and other promotions as necessary.
18. Assists with slot moves, including occasionally moving slot machines and helping disconnect power and data, as well as other slot projects as needed.
19. Performs other duties as reasonably requested by Management.
