Job Description

Remote: This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Austin, Warren, or Mountain View, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and manage infrastructure on the Azure stack
  • Work with Azure services like PIM, Microsoft Entra ID, FrontDoor, CosmosDB, Azure B2C (custom policies)
  • Design, implement, and automate CI/CD pipelines
  • Manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) via CI/CD
  • Automate infrastructure changes using Terraform
  • Ensure security and compliance best practices are continuously applied
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges
  • Explore emerging technologies to enhance our tech stack
  • Engage in deep technical discussions with the Architecture group

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)​​

  • 7+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience, with deep expertise in Azure and supporting roles in AWS and GCP

  • Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Certification with proven experience designing and managing Azure infrastructure

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification with practical experience in monitoring architecture

  • Google Cloud Certified Associate Cloud Engineer and Professional Cloud Architect, demonstrating multi-cloud fluency

  • 3+ years of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using Terraform, Azure Bicep, and AWS CloudFormation

  • 2+ years managing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including migration from Service Fabric, private AKS enablement, and hub-and-spoke network design

  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, PowerShell, and Bash, with custom tooling for CMDB-like documentation, budget forecasting, and account baselining

  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps

  • Solid understanding of cloud security and compliance, including Azure Blueprints, custom policies, and golden image creation

  • Comfortable supporting both Windows and Linux environments, including WSL-based developer enablement and cross-platform tooling

  • Proven ability to collaborate with architecture teams, drive infrastructure transformation, and support developer workflows

  • Recognized as a multi-cloud domain expert, with certifications and hands-on experience across Azure, AWS, and GCP
  • Known for a customer-first mindset, supporting developer transitions and enabling secure, scalable environments
  • Passionate about automation and reducing manual work, with a proven track record of scripting and process optimization
  • Experience with monitoring and observability, including custom-built frameworks and integrations with tools like Splunk, DataDog, and ElasticSearch
  • Strong understanding of modern network and security architecture, including VPNs, Zero Trust, PKI, and TLS
  • Adept with source control and Git workflows, including GitHub customization and action forking
  • Highly adaptable, with a "jack of all trades" mindset that enables rapid learning and effective problem-solving across unfamiliar technologies

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.

  • The salary range for this role is 177,000 to 270,900. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
