German American Bank is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Temporary Digital Automation and Workflow Support Associate, working approximately 20 hours of work per week. This opportunity is ideal for someone pursuing a degree in in Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field who wants to gain practical experience solving real-world business challenges. You'll work alongside experienced professionals to support automation and process improvement initiatives, develop practical skills, and help solve real-world business challenges that improve how work gets done across the organization.
What You’ll Do:
Day in the Life – The job tasks include supporting digital process improvement initiatives by analyzing and documenting business processes, assisting with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) automation, eSignature, and digital workflow configuration and testing, and creating process documentation and training materials. Every day you’ll collaborate with technical teams, business partners, and end users to troubleshoot issues, communicate updates, and identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the employee experience.
What it Takes:
- Coursework or projects involving programming, information systems, data analysis, or process improvement
- Familiarity with process mapping, software testing, spreadsheets, or technical documentation.
- Exposure to RPA, eSignature, low-code platforms, or document-management systems.
To qualify for this role, you should be pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Business, Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and have an interest in automation, workflow technology, business analysis, and process improvement. Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. You should be detail-oriented, eager to learn new technologies, able to work independently and collaboratively, and committed to handling organizational information responsibly and confidentially.
