Outreach Intern
Greene County General Hospital
The Outreach Intern will have the unique opportunity to support the Hospital’s active marketing strategy. This role benefits from a personal passion for wellness and a sincere desire to build relationships within Greene County. This position will provide support to the Outreach Director in the areas of public relations, promotions, traditional and social media, and event management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enthusiastically promote and participate in summer outreach programs including community fitness events and outdoor festivals, including weekend events.
- Prepare media kits, set up tent and tables, and pass out brochures during events.
- Load and transport boxes of marketing materials to and from events.
- Assist in making sure Greene County residents have information about health services offered at Greene County General Hospital.
- Protects patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Demonstrates clear ownership of workplace and patient safety.
- Reports mistakes, near misses, adverse events and quality and safety concerns.
- Participates in the development and implementation of safety and quality improvement activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education: High School Graduate/GED required. Preferrable college student taking Business/Marketing related classes.
Licensure/Certifications: Valid Indiana motor vehicle license in good standing.
Experience: Must have strong PC skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must represent the organization in an enthusiastic, articulate, poised and professional manner. Must be very organized and flexible with the ability to multi-task.
Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, standing and walking. Frequent outdoor activity during summer months. Participation in fitness activities (yoga, walking, etc). Frequent stooping, bending and reaching. Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Good visual acuity.
