What You'll Be Doing
Lead all aspects of a large-scale cement manufacturing operation, providing strategic and operational leadership across kiln operations, raw materials, clinker production, finish grinding, maintenance, quality, environmental compliance, and financial performance.
Drive operational excellence by achieving world-class performance in cement production, kiln reliability, equipment availability, product quality, cost control, energy efficiency, and sustainability initiatives.
Ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all cement plant processes, including quarry, raw mill, kiln, cooler, finish mill, and packing operations, while maintaining a strong culture of continuous improvement.
Develop, coach and mentor salaried and hourly employees, building a high-performance culture focused on accountability, talent development, operational discipline, and succession planning.
Champion safety and environmental stewardship by ensuring compliance with all MSHA. OSHA, EPA and environmental permit requirements, while fostering a proactive safety culture.
Lead plant financial performance, including budgeting, capital planning, major maintenance outages, reliability initiatives, cost optimization, and long-term operational strategy. Partner with corporate leadership to identify and execute opportunities for operational improvements, capacity increases, process optimization, and asset reliability enhancements.
What Are We Looking For
Extensive leadership experience in cement manufacturing operations is strongly preferred, with proven success leading a cement plant or major production area.
Deep knowledge of cement production processes, kiln operations, clinker manufacturing, maintenance reliability, and process optimization.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results in safety, production, quality, cost control, and environmental compliance within a heavy industrial environment.
Proven success developing teams, building organizational capability, and leading through change. Strong business acumen, including budgeting, capital project management, and operational decision making.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field preferred; 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in cement manufacturing strongly desired.
