• Read, interpret, and analyze content from drawings and specifications
• Create manufacturing drawings, 2D, and 3D models
• Create detailed assembly instructions for products
• Collaborate with Field Service and Engineering personnel to define and solve issues
• Perform other duties as may be assigned at management’s discretion

• Currently enrolled to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
• Proficiency in AudoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor and/or other comparable 3D modeling software is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Strong communication skills – listening, verbal, written
• Ability to effectively prioritize to meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Creative problem-solving skills

This internship opportunity is designed to provide a realistic job preview and lay a solid foundation necessary for future employment with Indiana Furniture. This individual will learn firsthand about the Product Engineering function in the contract furniture industry, and work alongside experienced professionals on real projects and issues. The internship will last approximately 12 weeks, and allow the intern to make contributions throughout the summer through project work, presentations, and networking. The internship will be based at our facilities in Jasper, IN and is not remote-based. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. and the company does not plan to offer immigration sponsorship at this time.

This position reports directly to the Manager, Product Engineering.
