Job Description
The IU Foundation’s Bloomington Development leadership team is seeking a talented project specialist who takes pride in owning their work from start to finish and contributing to the mission of the IU Foundation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on being proactive, anticipating needs before they arise, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. If you’re a confident self-starter and project manager who brings ideas forward and follows through with excellence, we want to hear from you.
In this position, you’ll play a critical role in supporting key initiatives that help drive the success of the Bloomington development office. You’ll be a vital connector within our team, partnering effectively with administrative staff, internal partners, and campus leaders and their support staff to keep projects moving smoothly. Your communication skills—both written and verbal—will shine as you foster strong relationships, manage expectations, and ensure everyone stays aligned and well communicated with. Whether you’re gathering input, sharing updates, or coordinating logistics, you’ll be the go-to person who keeps things running seamlessly.

Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Interpersonal skills and judgement suitable for exercising appropriate discretion and demeanor when dealing with employees, donors, as well as senior university and foundation leadership.
- Ability to exercise extreme good judgement in the handling of confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously on multiple projects.
- Ability to work effectively in an environment of rapidly changing priorities.
- High level of experience and proficiency with systems including but not limited to Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the English language and grammar.
- Refined listening, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance priorities and meet coinciding deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously on multiple projects.
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- 3 years of experience of professional office environment preferably in project management and/or executive administrative support is required.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Additional Information
The salary range for this role is $54,000- $62,000 annually. This is a primarily onsite position based in Bloomington, Indiana.
