If you are motivated by doing impactful work and making a difference in people’s lives, then the Indiana University Foundation (IUF) is the place for you. At the IUF, we believe in making the dream of higher education attainable, providing support for life-changing research, and preparing the next generation of leaders.

Job Description

At the Indiana University Foundation, we are the trusted stewards of IU’s philanthropic vision, and our work fuels scholarships, research breakthroughs, and global initiatives that change lives. Now, we’re seeking a forward-thinking Director of Enterprise Risk & Incident Management to help ensure that our organization — and the mission it supports — remains resilient, prepared, and strong.

As the first full-time strategic architect of IUF’s enterprise risk and incident management framework, you’ll build upon existing efforts to design and lead comprehensive programs that safeguard the Foundation’s operations, people, and reputation. This newly established role will drive the continued development of risk identification and mitigation strategies across departments, strengthen continuity and emergency planning, and coordinate incident response efforts to ensure organizational readiness. Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Strategic Initiatives and Board Engagement, you’ll play a key role in shaping organization-wide decision-making, advising leadership and the board of directors on critical risk issues, and partnering with Indiana University leaders to align IUF’s preparedness strategy with the university’s broader initiatives.

This is a role for someone who can balance strategic oversight with practical readiness. You’ll lead the Incident Response Team, foster a culture of preparedness through engaging training and simulations, and communicate clearly and confidently in moments that matter most. Your work will directly shape how IUF anticipates, responds to, and recovers from challenges, ensuring continuity in the face of change and confidence in times of uncertainty.

  • Must be able to exercise excellent judgment in the handling of confidential information.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
