Job Description
The IU Foundation welcomes applications for the Merchant Services Specialist position. In this new specialist role, we’re looking for a driven, detail-oriented individual who thrives at the intersection of data, operations, and collaboration—someone who can look at transactional data, spot patterns, draw meaningful conclusions, and confidently advise stakeholders on what it means and what to do next. You’ll be a key partner across departments, trusted to take initiative, ask the right questions, and translate complex payment activity into clear insights, process improvements, and smart visualizations that drive decisions.
Reporting to the Manager, Merchant Services, you’ll be deeply involved in the day-to-day and the big picture: supporting merchant services users, reconciling payment activity, monitoring security and compliance, managing equipment and inventories, and serving as a go-to resource for merchant-related initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams, troubleshoot and research issues, maintain and improve SOPs, and contribute to strategic improvements across the merchant services program. This is not a “wait for instructions” role—you’ll be expected to proactively identify gaps, recommend solutions, and follow through, whether that means improving workflows, strengthening controls, or creating reports and dashboards that make the data tell a story.
If you bring strong critical-thinking skills, you’re organized, adaptable, and calm under deadlines, with a solid foundation in accounting principles, compliance, and customer service, we want to hear from you!
