FACULTY POSITION • PEDIATRIC NEURORADIOLOGY EMPHASIS • INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA

The Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences invites applications for a fellowship-trained Neuroradiologist to join the Neuroradiology Division, a 26-member strong and growing team that includes a dedicated pediatric neuroradiology section. This is an opportunity to practice the full spectrum of adult and pediatric diagnostic neuroradiology at one of the nation’s premier academic medical centers, with provision to balance clinical and academic time. The position may be at the assistant, associate, or full professor level based on experience, with both tenured and non-tenure track appointments available.

• Pediatric neuroradiology coverage is based at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, ranked among the top children’s hospitals in the nation.

• Adult neuroradiology coverage is based at the Academic Medical Center in Indianapolis and includes coverage of multiple in-state hospitals and imaging facilities.

• Daytime position with approximately one remote evening shift per week and no overnight call responsibilities.

• Work-from-home opportunities shared among the Neuroradiology team, in addition to on-site assignments at both sites.

• Work alongside nationally recognized experts in Neuroradiology, supported by a robust residency, a neuroradiology fellowship program, and a highly supportive, well-funded imaging sciences research program.

• Interpret all diagnostic neuroradiology imaging studies, both adult and pediatric, on a collegial and growing 26-member team.

• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and specialty conferences, collaborating closely with referring clinicians.

• Be a part of the largest medical school in the nation.

• New medical school campus and research buildings opened in downtown Indianapolis in 2025.

• New consolidated Academic Health Center, including hospital and outpatient facilities, opening in 2027.

• Our department ranked 1st among Big Ten schools and 13th nationally in overall NIH funding by the Academy for Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Research in 2024.

• Collaborate with the newly established departmental Medical Imaging Research Institute (MIRI), including the Cancer Imaging and Theranostics Research Center, Research Imaging Core, and state-of-the-art PET/CT, PET/MR, and preclinical imaging infrastructure.

• Total compensation (salary + benefits) is estimated between $610,000-$650,000 depending on academic rank, with ample opportunities for supplemental income.

• Provide high-quality clinical interpretation of the full spectrum of adult and pediatric diagnostic neuroradiology studies at Riley Hospital for Children and the Academic Medical Center, including coverage of multiple in-state hospitals and imaging facilities.

• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and specialty conferences and contribute to educational initiatives across the department and Academic Health Center.

• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in a supportive academic environment.

• Engage in scholarly activity, quality improvement, and faculty development opportunities aligned with the department’s four missions—clinical, research, education, and culture.

• MD or DO degree (doctorate or terminal degree required).

• Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Radiology.

• Fellowship training in Neuroradiology and/or eligibility for subspecialty CAQ certification in Neuroradiology.

• Additional fellowship training or experience in Pediatric Neuroradiology is preferred.

• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Indiana.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and qualities that further the clinical, academic, and research missions of the department.

• A track record and commitment to education and scholarship in at least one mission area is expected.

• Research experience and grant funding are assets but not required.
