TREASURER'S OFFICE (UA-TREA-IUBLA)

Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Creates new credit card merchant accounts for departments across the university.
  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and training for point of sale (POS) terminals and e-commerce connections.
  • Helps departments with credit card transaction research, discrepancies, and reconciliation.
  • Serves as the Primary Security Administrator for Treasury banking and credit card systems.
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive user guides, internal treasury procedures, and website content.
  • Keep departments informed about product updates, system outages, and compliance changes through emails or short informational webinars.
  • Visits university merchants regularly to review policy compliance and helps optimize their existing revenue collection processes.
  • Updates and manages the treasury's data dashboards to monitor transaction volumes, processing fees, and payment trends.

General Responsibilities

  • Performs routine independent analysis of daily cash flows, cash payments, interest charges and earnings, and other financial and cash flows metrics.
  • Reconciles account statements and cash transactions; troubleshoots and corrects basic and moderately complex errors, escalating more complex errors as needed.
  • Responds to employee inquiries and requests and explains fiscal policies and procedures.
  • May provide organizational treasury training.

EDUCATION

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 2 years of experience in a relevant field.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES

Preferred

  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP).
  • Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP).

SKILLS

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills.

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in-person work), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.

$60,000.00 - 63,000.00 annually based on qualifications.
