Position Summary
The Division of Pediatric Infectious Disease in the Department of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking to add a clinical track faculty physician to provide patient care at Riley Hospital for Children and serve as a clinical educator for our school of medicine students and trainees. A majority of the clinical time will be spent as an inpatient attendee, split between general and immunocompromised ID, approximately 10-14 weeks, and staffing up to one half-day clinic per week. Additionally, this role will provide support for urgent outpatient phone consults for 6-8 weeks and the remainder of clinical service will be dedicated to antimicrobial stewardship.

The Department of Pediatrics at IUSM/Riley Hospital for Children is a 398-member faculty that is consistently within the top 10 pediatric departments in NIH funded research in the United States and has 19 Fellowship programs. There is a new large pediatric clinical research center, a new pediatric outpatient center dedicated to general pediatrics and neurodevelopment related divisions in pediatrics, genetics, and psychiatry. There are also State-of-the-art laboratories in a dedicated pediatric research building, a clinical research center, a well-functioning biobank, six T32 fellow training grants and one K12s that support research in the Department. Our nationally recognized Division of Children’s Health Research is available for collaboration and as a resource for combined fellowships with the pediatric hospitalist program. The Department also has research relationships with the Regenstrief Institute in Health Informatics. Pediatric Radiology and Pediatric Neuroradiology are strong research partners.

Basic Qualifications
Doctorate or terminal degree required. Completion of pediatric residency and pediatric infectious disease programs. Must be Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics & Pediatric ID. New graduates and experienced providers are encouraged to apply.
