AUXILIARY SERVICES ADMINISTRAT (BA-AXAD-IUBLA)

Auxiliary Business Services is a diverse group of organizations that provide essential services to students, faculty, and staff, in support of the university's academic mission on the Bloomington campus. Our Shared Service Center focuses on providing efficient and effective administrative services to help these organizations achieve their goals.

Auxiliary Services Administration is a financial entity that works interdependently to support the Office of Student Life and Auxiliaries with their important everyday mission to deliver quality service to our students and faculty.

Department Specific Responsibilities

  • Processes purchase requests in IU's procurement system, Buy.IU.
  • Places online orders and processing expense reports in Emburse.
  • Reviews of invoices for accuracy.
  • Answers questions related to purchases, policies, and processes.
  • Communication with suppliers and internal customers regarding purchases.
  • Collaborates with the Student Life and Auxiliaries Shared Services purchasing team to improve processes.

EDUCATION

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

WORK EXPERIENCE

Preferred

  • Purchasing experience
  • Experience with IU systems and policies

SKILLS

Required

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and follow procedures

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

$15.00 to $18.00 per hour based on education and experience

20-29 hours per week

Position is capped at 29 hours per week
