Position Summary
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) in conjunction with IU Health Medical Group (IUHMG), is seeking an academic hematopathologist to join its expanding faculty.
The individual selected will be part of the Division of Hematopathology that provides expert diagnostic and consultative services to Indiana University Health (IU Health) which includes, Indiana University Hospital, Riley Hospital for Children, Methodist Hospital, IU Health West, IU Health North, IU Health Arnett, and numerous regional hospitals. The division also serves Eskenazi Health and the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. The successful candidate will join a collaborative group of ten hematopathologists with sign-out activities based in a central location, the IU Health Pathology Laboratory (IUHPL), in the downtown Indianapolis campus. Qualifications and level of experience determine the academic rank.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide diagnostic services including sign-out of tissue hematopathology, peripheral blood, and body fluids, as well as flow cytometry
  • Pursue clinical and translational research.
  • Actively participate in educational activities including ACGME-accredited and non-accredited trainees.

Basic Qualifications
  • Board certification in anatomic and/or clinical pathology, and board-certified or board-eligible in hematopathology
  • Doctorate or Terminal degree is required.
  • Has effective interpersonal skills and ability to work and communicate with a variety of individuals and groups.
