The Department of Sociology at Indiana University, Bloomington, invites applications for a rank-open (tenured or tenure-track) position beginning in the fall of 2027. We seek an individual with expertise in the sociology of organizations, interpreted broadly, who is committed to excellence in scholarship and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. We are especially interested in candidates who use innovative methods in their research and can contribute to teaching in the undergraduate Management + Human Organization major that we administer and to substantive and methods training in our graduate program. Ph.D. is required at time of appointment.
