The Employer Engagement Coordinator provides administrative, event management, outreach, and data support for employer engagement initiatives across the External Partnerships and Career Readiness Office at the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering. This position supports employer partnership development by coordinating engagement activities, managing communications, maintaining employer records, supporting outreach efforts, and assisting with recruiting, networking, and industry engagement events.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Coordinates logistics for employer engagement events, including career fairs, networking events, information sessions, and employer visits.
- Assists with event preparation, including event registrations, room reservations, materials, technology requests, parking arrangements, and other operational needs.
- Assists with employer communications regarding event participation, registration, scheduling, and engagement opportunities.
- Monitors and manages the Employer Partnerships inbox, responds to routine inquiries, facilitates timely follow-up, and routes communications to appropriate staff as needed.
- Researches prospective employer partners and develops target employer lists based on academic programs, student interests, and workforce needs.
- Assists in maintaining a pipeline of prospective employers for recruiting, networking, experiential learning, and partnership opportunities.
- Maintains accurate employer, engagement, and outreach records in Airtable, Handshake, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, and other departmental systems.
- Supports employer engagement and recruitment-related processes through Handshake and other departmental systems in accordance with departmental and university guidelines.
- Schedules meetings and assists with calendar coordination for employer engagement activities.
- Supports data collection and reporting related to employer engagement activities and departmental goals.
- Maintains and updates employer education resources designed to increase awareness of Luddy programs, student talent, recruiting opportunities, and engagement pathways.
EDUCATION
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
