Job Description
Title: RN - House Supervisor
Location: Paoli Hospital
Shift: Part-Time, Rotating Days or Nights
IU Health is seeking dedicated nursing professionals to serve as the hospital’s representative during off-shift hours. The House Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining a collaborative relationship across departments, facilitating communication, resolving issues, and promoting quality patient care for patients, visitors, and staff.
Position Overview
The RN - House Supervisor acts as the hospital’s liaison and administrative representative during off-shifts, ensuring smooth operations, addressing concerns promptly, and fostering a positive environment for staff, patients, and the community. This leadership role emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and maintaining high standards of patient safety and care quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the hospital’s main representative during off-shift hours, acting as a clinical and administrative resource.
- Maintain effective communication across departments and with community stakeholders.
- Resolve operational and clinical issues that arise during the shift.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and patient-centered care.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure policies and procedures are followed and patient care standards are maintained.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s of Nursing (BSN) required.
- Licensure:
- Active RN license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per departmental policies.
- Completion of Clinical Specialty Professional Certification within 1 year of meeting eligibility requirements.
- Experience:
- 5-7 years of relevant clinical and leadership experience preferred.
