Location: IU Health Bedford Hospital
Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Day and Night shifts, PRN)

Position Overview
The RN House Supervisor acts as the hospital’s administrative representative during off-shifts. This role involves maintaining a collaborative environment, facilitating communication across departments, resolving issues, and promoting high-quality patient care. The House Supervisor builds relationships both within the hospital and with the community, ensuring smooth operations and a positive, safe environment for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the hospital’s administrative liaison during off-shift hours.
  • Collaborate with staff, leadership, patients, visitors, and community partners.
  • Address and resolve operational, clinical, and personnel issues.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and compassionate care.
  • Facilitate communication across departments and support staff in problem-solving.
  • Ensure hospital policies, safety standards, and patient care protocols are upheld.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education:
    • Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) required or relevant clinical experience.
  • Licensure:
    • Active RN license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
    • Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
    • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per department policies.
    • Complete Clinical Specialty Professional Certification within 1 year of eligibility.
  • Experience:
    • 5-7 years of relevant clinical experience, including leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
