RN will be responsible for prep work for scheduled appointments; Patient preoperative teaches for surgery; Managing incoming triage calls to the Cardiothoracic Clinic; Managing EMR messaging pools; Assisting with suture removals, thoracentesis when applicable; Assist with Surgery scheduling as needed; and Collaboration with surgery department and preadmission testing.
Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:30 pm
No weekends! No holidays!
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
- May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
- Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
