This position is full time, days. The shift is 8am-5pm, Tuesday-Friday, at Bloomington Hospital. There will be on call (rotated).
Works with the Manager and/or Director, and is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the daily functions and workflow of assigned departmental personnel. Supervises Neurophysiology personnel involved in EEG, EMG, EP, IONM. Ensures department rules, regulations, procedures and protocols are properly followed.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience or equivalent years of experience.
• Requires registry in EEG (R.EEG T.) and one of the following; either CNIM or CLTM by ABRET.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires strong customer service skills.
• Requires ability to recognize neurological compromising conditions and communicate those conditions to assure appropriate actions are taken.
• Requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Requires critical thinking skills.
• Requires ability to work independently.
• Requires knowledge of software applications.
• Requires manual dexterity; visual acuity; and the ability to concentrate for extended amounts of time under stressful conditions in order to properly and effectively administer tests and perform neurophysiologic monitoring.
• Requires on-call duties.
• Requires flexible coverage when needed.
• Prefers registry in both CNIM and CLTM.
• Prefers registry in Evoked Potentials (R.EP T.) Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
