Responsibilities:
- This position provides guidance and serves as the lead in daily activities of this department.
- Assists in the supervision of patient flow from point of entry to ensure timely, accurate and professional service.
- Monitors workflow, quality, and performance and provides direction, guidance and oversight in accordance to policies and procedures.
- Recognizes improvement opportunities, helps to implement solutions and handles complex or unresolved issues.
- Leads the team in assuring patient experience is of highest priority.
- Oversees the Responsibilities of Patient Associate in completing all job duties
- This position monitors operational aspects of the department and maintains performance improvement activities as required.
- Participates in all infection control, department equipment training, regulatory compliance, organizational safety and fire safety programs.
- Oversees Orders, distributes and maintains designated and appropriate inventory of department related supplies.
- This position works closely with team and all appropriate supervisors and/or managers.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED is required. Associate's Degree is preferred.
- Two years of leadership experience or four years of experience in Rehabilitation Services or similar job duties (patient registration, insurance, scheduling) required.
- Requires high level of interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Requires the ability to promote teamwork and develop team members
- Requires knowledge and understanding of hospital policies and procedures
- Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectives
- Requires effective written and verbal communication skills in both individual and group settings.
- Requires expert knowledge of rehab services requirements and regulations.
