Position Overview:
The NFP RN-Ambulatory Supervisor reflects IU Health’s mission, vision, and values, adhering to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance. This role is accountable for providing and coordinating competent, evidence-based care across the outpatient setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The supervisor supervises a multidisciplinary team of maternal-child home-visiting nurses across six counties, supporting 200 families with children from early pregnancy to age two. Provides staff coaching and operational oversight, manages program budgets and contracts, ensures compliance with grant requirements and promotes the Nurse-Family Partnership model within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and oversight for ambulatory clinical practice and staff.
• Coordinate staffing, supplies, and resources to support efficient clinic operations.
• Support staff development, problem-solving, and personnel management activities.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and professional growth within the team.
• Maintain knowledge of clinical procedures, equipment, and supplies relevant to the outpatient setting.
• Understand and apply legal and ethical standards related to nursing practice and patient care activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Education:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN) required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Licensure & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per department policies.
• Experience & Skills:
- Two years of clinical experience preferred.
- Knowledge of procedures and equipment relevant to outpatient care.
- Ability to coordinate multiple functions efficiently for a group of patients.
- Understanding of legal and regulatory implications of nursing practice.
