Come join our Team! The Paoli Spa Team is looking for a dynamic individual to join our System Patient Access Registration team. This Team Lead role serves as the first point of contact for our team and is critical in ensuring a positive experience for our patient access team members. To be successful in this position, you must be detail-oriented, patient-focused, dependable, and consistent in your attendance and timeliness. Registration experience is preferred but not required for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Training: Provide daily support, mentoring, and training to new and existing Patient Access staff.
- Issue Resolution: Assist in managing escalated issues and always ensure positive customer service.
- Policy Enforcement: Enforce departmental policies, practices, procedures, and work rules in accordance with hospital policies.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor daily activities and complete performance and metric reports.
- Staff Management: Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, and appraising staff performance.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of daily registrations and maintain high-quality service levels.
- Coordination: Collaborate with clinical staff and other departments to address patient inquiries and facilitate seamless care coordination.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and medical laws.
- Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Ensure timely and accurate patient registration
- Maintain patient records and confidentiality
- Provide information and answer patient inquiries
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operation.
- Financial Counselor; screening patients for Medicaid and other resources
Requirements:
•2 years of experience with Indiana University Health Revenue Cycle Services strongly preferred.
• Requires expert knowledge of revenue cycle requirements and regulations.
• Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem solving, and analytic skills.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills in both individual and group settings.
• Requires the ability to promote teamwork and develop team members.
• Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
