Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a part-time Testing Services Assistant to support certification and academic exam administration. This position provides in-person and remote proctoring, assists with scheduling and documentation, and supports CNA and TEAS testing.
Position pays $16–$17/hour (depending on experience and skills), averages 20 hours per week (up to 25 during peak periods), requires Friday availability, and may include evening hours up to 7:00 PM. Current Ivy Tech students are not eligible for this position.

This position is responsible for the administration and documentation of a select number of certifications and all academic exams both on campus and remotely. Provide appropriate proctoring services for both Ivy Tech students and non-Ivy Tech candidates according to required protocols and guidelines. The position will work closely with the Testing Services Director to maintain currency (certified proctor) in skills and procedures.
Major Responsibilities:
• Provide certification, assessment, and remote exam administration according to designated proctor policies and procedures.
• Complete all required proctor and employee trainings and stay current with exam protocol changes.
• Become certified in virtual proctoring..
• Assist with scheduling testing center activity.
• Monitor the shared CNA calendar weekly. Create Testing Results Forms for the field proctors as needed. Communicate with the Statewide Ivy Tech CNA office to verify candidate’s eligibility for testing.
• Serve as the resident (or patient in bed) for Community Day Skills Testing. The resident will portray a patient in a long-term nursing facility and enact a scenario around a basic CNA skill under the direction of the field proctor.
• Set up and clean up the Skills room as needed on Community Days.
• Verify the eligibility of CNA candidates for testing, create the Testing Results Forms, and email reminders to candidates of testing appointments.
• Approve TEAS testing appointments and create testing slips for each candidate on the day of testing.
• Seat and monitor TEAS testers.
• Assist the Manager with assigned tasks that can be completed during slow proctoring periods.
• Assist in keeping the assessment and certification centers organized, clean, supplied and well maintained.
• Be willing to work flexible and expanded hours when the need arises and during heavy volume testing.
Other related or appropriate duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent - Due to access of testing materials, current Ivy Tech Community College students may not be considered for the position.

- Must exhibit excellent interpersonal communication, telephone, and customer service skills.
- Must be able to organize and maintain accurate records for CNA, QMA, and TEAS candidates.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
- A working knowledge of computers is essential.
- Excellent word processing and spreadsheet computing skills in Microsoft are required.
- Requires the ability to interpret and understand complex assessment instructions, to use problem solving techniques as they arise and to reason and make decisions.
Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some Saturdays.
The above listed functions require various degrees of independence, judgement and discretion, and the ability to be mobile in the office and/or work area.
