Ivy Tech - Bloomington is looking for an individual to join their team as a Part Time Maintenance Custodian (third shift) to help maintain safety and cleanliness of the campus.

Interviews will occur on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Posted on 1/7/2026

Hourly Rate: $15.75

Working Hours: Sunday - Thursday either 10pm - 2am or 2AM - 6AM.

Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.

BASIC FUNCTION AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Maintaining safety and cleanliness of the campus facilities as assigned.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Illustrative only, not all-inclusive):

Clean and maintain assigned areas.

Empty trash, clean white boards, vacuum, etc.

Open and secure buildings as required.

Unload and place equipment and supplies.

Move furniture as directed.

Strip and wax floors.

Participate in community service, service learning, and civic engagement projects and activities as deemed appropriate by the Chancellor.

All other duties as assigned, consistent with commonly accepted practices.

DESIRABLE EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to follow verbal instructions and work independently. Must have previous facility cleaning experience, including knowledge of stripping and waxing floors.
