The Instructional Librarian and Learning Commons Coordinator designs and implements innovative library instructional services that provide students with strong foundational experiences in information discovery, retrieval, and evaluation, and works with the library director, staff, and faculty to facilitate the integration of library instruction and information literacy within the curriculum. Additionally, the coordinator assists in managing the Learning Commons, ensuring the seamless delivery of multidisciplinary tutoring and academic support services to a diverse population of campus and online learners.
Job Description
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply professional expertise in the design, delivery, management, and assessment of library instructional services in all classroom delivery formats.
Oversee interlibrary loan operations.
Create and maintain web tools (websites, library guides, etc.) for use in disseminating library instruction and information.
Help library users find information by conducting a reference interview and pointing them to the resources they need.
Help students use library resources, equipment, and College online services (IvyLearn, MyIvy) as needed.
Contribute to general library operations by selecting and cataloging materials, processing new and weeded materials, completing circulation duties (including checking materials in and out), processing overdue notices and fines, and recording library and Learning Commons statistics.
Assist with managing Learning Commons operations.
Actively participate in campus and statewide committee and library process work as assigned.

SALARY RANGE: $42,000 - $48,000 – based on skills, experience, and education.
