Ivy Tech Community College – Bloomington is looking for an individual to join their team as a Recruitment, Admissions, & Cohort Programs Assistant to provide exceptional customer service and administrative support for the Office of Recruitment, Admissions, & Cohort Programs. This role serves as a welcoming first point of contact for prospective and current students, families, and campus visitors while assisting with recruitment events, campus tours, appointment scheduling, student records, and daily office operations. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys helping others in a fast-paced, student-focused environment. Strong communication, customer service, and computer skills are essential.
This is a full time hourly position with an hourly rate range of $16-$18 depending on education and experience.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Occasional evenings required.

BASIC FUNCTION AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Recruitment, Admissions, & Cohort Programs Assistant supports the Office of Recruitment, Admission, & Cohort Programs by providing a professional, helpful, welcoming atmosphere and positive attitude for faculty, staff, students, families, callers, and visitors of the campus. This position provides support for the general, day-to-day administrative, operational and clerical tasks as well as assisting with recruitment-related events and activities.

Major Responsibilities
- Responds to email and phone inquiries to the departments shared inboxes and ticketing system in a timely and professional manner.
- Responds to questions and requests from students, the general public, faculty, administrators and staff and refers to appropriate personnel as necessary.
- Coordinates and schedules student appointments with relevant departments based on individual needs and goals.
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings, Cohort Programs group meetings and/or events. This may include assisting with on-campus events such as campus visits, student meetings, and/or other student-related visits.
- Lead or assist with campus tours, including walking groups and answering questions.
- Coordinate purchasing and venue requests for the team.
- Maintains accuracy and confidentiality of student enrollment records in compliance with College and the Family Educational Rights Privacy Act (FERPA).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
- Strong data entry and administrative skills
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within higher education, is preferred
