We are currently searching for a Computer Engineer to support Anti-Tamper microelectronic assessments, technology development and Anti-Tamper implementation for multiple programs. The position will support NSWC Crane's Trusted Microelectronics Division and their various Navy and Air Force customers.

As a Computer Engineer with JRC, you will...

  • Develop software for embedded microelectronics (ARM, RISC-V, others) in a team environment to aid in the assessment of microelectronics. Use of revision control software is required.
  • Develop software (CPU) in a team environment to aid in the assessment of microelectronics. Use of revision control software is required.
  • Develop test/debug software
  • Conduct statistical analysis of data from testing efforts.
  • Assist the Electrical Engineer with the setup and operation of microelectronic devices
  • Identify new testing methodologies
  • Assist with electrical/electronic technology assessment efforts

What you bring to the table...

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Engineering or related engineering field and 0-5 years of experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of software programming including C/C++, Python, Perl, and MATLAB
  • Knowledge and understanding of Statistical Data Analysis (statistics)
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment including Oscilloscopes, Amplifiers, Filters,
  • Knowledge and lab experience with microelectronics (microcontrollers, FPGAs)
  • Ability to support technical design reviews
  • Knowledge and understanding of parallel programming issues (race conditions, livelocks/deadlocks, shared memory, memory ordering, etc.) and experience with pthreads and/or MPI libraries is preferred
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret US Government Clearance.

  • Knowledge and understanding on LabVIEW and VHDL/Verilog
