What You Will Do
· Own required safety and environmental training for new hires and current employees, including scheduling, delivery, documentation, and follow up.
· Conduct floor inspections, identify hazards, and work with leaders to complete corrective actions.
· Support incident and near miss investigations, injury prevention, OSHA compliance, safety committee follow up, SDS and chemical management, and environmental requirements.
· Create practical safety talks and coach employees and leaders to strengthen safe work practices.
What We Are Looking For
· One to three years of manufacturing, safety, environmental, maintenance, quality, or related experience; manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
· Associate degree in occupational safety, environmental health, manufacturing, or a related field preferred, but not required.
· Working knowledge of hazard recognition, machine guarding, lockout tagout, PPE, forklift safety, chemical and SDS management, and incident investigation.
· OSHA 10 Hour General Industry and First Aid CPR certification preferred; willingness to obtain required certifications is expected.
· An organized, engaging communicator who is comfortable on the floor, able to motivate others, and persistent about completing the work.
