The Health & Civil Sector at Leidos is seeking an Industrial Security Representative. In support of a behavioral health program, the applicant will be part of a team of program security representatives assisting in the background investigation process and ensuring the successful onboarding of new program personnel.
This position is fully remote; however, the candidate MUST be located in the DC/MD/VA area. They will need to drive to a nearby Leidos office with a mailroom a couple of times a week to pick up security packages. Additionally, the candidate should be close to a UPS location for shipping materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for interpreting and reviewing the Security Policy from the government customer
Develop, administer, and audit the security program for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of information
Develop, implement, and maintain Security Metric Reports for analysis
Provide day-to-day security support that includes continuous assessment of procedures to identify shortfalls and provide appropriate recommendations for revising and improving security policies, procedures, and systems
Perform in individual and team roles, supporting all contractual security requirements for the program
Assist candidates through the entire public trust vetting process to include coordinating fingerprinting
Ensure timely notification of pertinent security matters to program technical and management staff
Reviews all required paperwork and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission to the government for processing
Maintain the internal security database
Review and interpret DD254s as well as the flow down of sub DD254s
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Requires DOD Secret Clearance
MUST possess practical knowledge of and experience with DISS
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant course of study, eg, Business, Security, Criminology, Psychology, and 4-8 years of experience with public trust requirements and processing, or a Master's with 2-6 years’ experience with public trust requirements and processing
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Ability to enter data efficiently, timely, and correctly to meet deadlines
Highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills
Experienced in working in a dynamic work environment, supporting several tasks at once, with potential for short deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are essential
Possess outstanding customer service skills and the ability to deal with all levels of management, both internally and externally
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Practical knowledge of and experience with SIMS
Experience working in a shared mailbox
Experience with Suitability packages

Pay Range:
