Are you interested in learning how to load, enrich, and prepare data ready for AI and Advanced Analytics? Join our Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) this summer as a Data Operations Engineer Intern, where you’ll be part of the Data Management team working with enterprise data platforms, data integration tools, data quality and validation, and modern analytics practices. As a team member, you will partner with data engineers, data architects, data governance leads, data scientists, and data product owners to help build data pipelines to load, transform, and enrich data to support Enterprise AI and Analytics. This position offers experience building data pipelines, validating data, developing semantic models, and supporting AI and Analytics platform interfaces.

Primary Responsibilities.

As a member of the Data Management team, the intern will gain valuable experience:

  • Meeting with data product and AI teams to discuss the data contract, requirements, and objectives
  • Assisting the data quality team with data cleanup, issue tracking, profiling, and validations
  • Meeting with data pipeline teams to map out data transformations, data flows, and load validations for building Data Products
  • Collaborating with Data Product and AI teams to develop data interfaces for Data Products
  • Developing data integration workflows to stage, transform, and build Data Products
  • Developing and testing SQL queries in Snowflake to support integration code
  • Coding in modern data integration tools
  • Creating REST APIs to support data interfaces
  • Developing Reporting Semantic Models to support Data Product interfaces
  • Participating in team meetings and design sessions to plan and status project tasks.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field
  • Interest in data integration, data quality, analytics, and enterprise data platforms
  • Fundamental understanding of data concepts i.e., data structures and data design (tables, schemas, metadata, data quality, data modeling basics)
  • Experience or coursework with SQL
  • Experience or coursework developing program code in Python or an equivalent programming language
  • Fundamental understanding of REST APIs and JSON
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to document processes clearly and communicate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • US citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Cloud Data Pipeline Tools
  • Familiarity with Data Governance Tools.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Data Platforms, especially Snowflake
  • Familiarity with Unstructured data processing
  • Coursework or projects involving data modeling, data integration, or analytics
  • Interest in AI/ML concepts, automation, or agent-based tools
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Curiosity about how data is managed at scale in large, complex organizations.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00
