The Leidos DoD Enterprise and Cyber Operations (DECO) division of the Digital Modernization Sector / DoD Defense Agencies IT Business Area has an opportunity for a SharePoint & Systems Engineering Intern to support existing and growth opportunities within the division. The intern will work virtually with primarily a US Eastern and Central time focus, and a worldwide team. The Leidos DECO Division is both established and growing. Our DECO Program Operations team provides the functional support for this $600M+ annual and growing organization. Current task orders are under the Global Services Management-Operations II (GSM-O II) IDIQ and the Systems Engineering, Technology, and Innovation (SETI) IDIQ contract vehicles.
We are seeking a SharePoint & Systems Engineering Intern to support ongoing efforts to modernize and integrate business operations tools, including migration to SharePoint Online and the development of standardized processes and documentation. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise-level systems, improving workflows, and contributing to real-world engineering and operational challenges in a collaborative team environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with the migration of content, lists, and workflows from legacy platforms to SharePoint Online.
- Support the design and development of SharePoint site structures, permissions, and layouts to meet team requirements.
- Help create and test automated business workflows using tools like Power Automate.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, process maps, and user guides for new and existing systems.
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand operational needs.
- Assist in testing and validating new system features and process improvements.
- Provide basic user support for SharePoint and other integrated business tools.
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- US citizenship required.
- Strong interest in systems engineering, enterprise tools, or process improvement.
- Familiarity with Microsoft tools such as SharePoint, Excel, Teams, or Power Platform (academic or personal experience acceptable).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to SharePoint Online, Power Automate, or Power Apps.
- Experience with technical writing or documentation.
- Basic understanding of systems engineering concepts (requirements, workflows, lifecycle).
- Interest in data organization, process optimization, or business operations tools.

Pay Range:
