Leidos is seeking a Director of Growth to support the The Exploration, Environment, and Earth Intelligence (E3) Division. This person will lead business development strategy and execution across a diverse portfolio that includes NASA, commercial space, and environmental markets. Key customers include NASA, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and other federal and commercial stakeholders.
This role is central to expanding the division’s footprint across space exploration and environmental mission areas. The Director of Growth will shape the division’s future by building a strong pipeline, aligning strategy to execution, and delivering measurable business results in critical national and commercial markets.
This leader will be responsible for driving the full business development lifecycle, including pipeline generation, campaign development, and capture alignment to achieve submits and awards targets. The Director of Growth will play a critical role in shaping and executing portfolio strategies, leading Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development, and ensuring alignment between division priorities and enterprise growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings a strong track record of winning complex government and commercial pursuits, deep customer relationships across space and environmental domains, and the ability to translate market insight into executable growth strategies.
Primary Responsibilities

Growth Execution & Targets
Own and deliver submits and awards targets across NASA, commercial space, and environmental portfolios
Drive pipeline growth, qualification, and conversion to achieve division financial objectives
Monitor and report on growth performance, ensuring alignment with division and corporate goals

Portfolio Strategy & Campaign Development
Develop and execute portfolio strategies aligned to division and corporate priorities
Lead multi-year campaign development across space and environmental markets
Identify emerging opportunities and position the division in high-growth mission areas

Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
Lead development of AOP growth plans, including pipeline forecasts, bookings targets, and investment priorities
Ensure alignment of AOP objectives with execution across BD, capture, and operations

Pipeline Generation & Capture Alignment
Build and maintain a qualified pipeline across NASA, commercial space, and environmental customers
Oversee opportunity identification, shaping, and qualification activities
Partner with capture managers to ensure alignment of win strategies, competitive positioning, and resource allocation

Customer Engagement
Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with key customers, including NASA, USACE, Navy, Air Force, and environmental agencies
Engage customers to understand mission needs, acquisition strategies, and emerging priorities
Represent the division in strategic discussions, strengthening market presence and credibility

Business Rhythms & Operational Integration
Support division business rhythms, including pipeline reviews, gate reviews, and growth forums
Drive participation in capture reviews, black hat sessions, and proposal strategy development
Ensure coordination across technical, program, finance, and growth teams

Strategy Alignment
Align division growth initiatives with corporate strategy and enterprise campaigns
Ensure consistency between portfolio strategies, capture efforts, and investment decisions
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience in business development, capture, or growth leadership
Demonstrated success achieving submits and awards targets in federal and/or commercial markets
Experience developing and managing pipelines across multiple customers and mission areas
Strong understanding of space exploration, earth intelligence, and environmental markets
Proven ability to build and maintain executive-level customer relationships
Experience leading or supporting complex, high-value pursuits
Ability to collaborate across a matrixed organization and align diverse stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting NASA and/or commercial space portfolios
Experience in environmental markets, including USACE and DoD environmental programs
Demonstrated experience developing and executing portfolio and campaign strategies
Familiarity with federal acquisition processes (FAR/DFARS) and contract vehicles
Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing capture outcomes
Advanced degree in business, engineering, environmental science, or related field

Pay Range:
Pay Range $154,050.00 - $278,475.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
